Creative Commons BY-NC-SA 4.0Media Helping Media (MHM) is a non-commercial site where the training material is published so that people can download and use it free-of-charge.

The content has been produced by media professionals who are happy to share their knowledge for the benefit of those starting off in journalism.

MHM has no financial or political backers.

The good news is that all the content is released under Creative Commons BY-NC-SA 4.0. Which means that you are free to republish it, translate it, and create new training resources using it, on three conditions – and these conditions are important.

1: The ‘BY‘ in the Creative Commons licence stands for attribution. This means you must give appropriate credit to the source of the original material (on MHM), provide a link to that material and the Creative Commons BY-NC-SA 4.0 licence, and indicate if changes were made. You may do so in any reasonable manner, but not in any way that suggests that MHM endorses you or your use.

2: The ‘NC‘ stands for non-commercial. This means that you may not use the material for commercial purposes. Put simply, you can’t make money out of MHM content. Any derivatives produced using MHM content must also be free-of-charge.

3: The ‘SA‘ stands for share alike. This means that if you remix, transform, or build upon the material, you must distribute your contributions under the same licence as the original.
