The BBC says it is concerned for the safety of a correspondent who has gone missing in the Gaza Strip.
The corporation said it had been unable to contact Alan Johnston, but did not comment on Palestinian reports that he had been kidnapped. More details
Reporters Without Borders is also voicing its concern.
Reporters Without Borders voiced concern today after British journalist Alan Johnston, who has been the BBC’s correspondent in Gaza for more than three years, was kidnapped by gunmen near his office this afternoon as he was returning from the Erez Crossing between the Gaza Strip and Israel.
