The BBC World Service Trust has launched a 2-year project in the Palestinian Territories to support the professional development of journalists and media professionals. The project aims to increase the level of networking and dialogue between media professionals in the West Bank and Gaza Strip.
The Trust is now seeking to recruit a Training Manager who will focus on the Palestinian project but also work across other projects in Arabic-speaking countries.
Working closely with the Trust's Middle East direction team, the post holder will devise, organise and deliver journalism and production training courses, both face-to-face and online; manage the recruitment of trainees, monitor their progress and support their learning; deploy trainers as necessary and help them deliver training using appropriate techniques and resources.
The post holder will report directly to the Project Manager, and will work with the Trust's Research and Learning team to ensure the training is effective.
