 It’s being claimed that a Nepalese radio journalist, who was abudcted a month ago, was killed the day he was taken. The Federation of Nepalese Journalists (FNJ) had staged a nationwide protest demanding information about the fate of Birendra Sah. Lenin Banjade reports from Nepal.
Abductors have revealed that journalist Birendra Sah, a correspondent with the Nepal FM Network, stationed in Nepal's capital city, has been murdered.
The Communist Party of Nepal (CPN - Maoists), who are in charge of constituency no. 4 in Bara district of Nepal, informed the media that journalist Sah was killed on Friday 5 October, the same day he was abducted.
Journalists were told by the CPN that those who abducted Sah beat him, tied his hands and legs with rope, and then buried him alive in the jungle of Ratanpur.

The fate of Sah was revealed as the Federation of Nepalese Journalists (FNJ) was staging a nationwide protest against the Nepalese government's failure to reveal Sah's whereabouts and condition.
Police had earlier broken up a demonstration by journalists in front of Singha Durbar, the official seat of the government of Nepal, protesting the government's failure to find the whereabouts of Sah. There has so far been no government response to the killing.
International media support groups are being informed of Sah’s death. The International Federation of Journalists (IFJ) had earlier written to the CPN expressing their concern for Sah's disappearance.
